Job Description
The employee’s duties and responsibilities as Accounts and Operation Manager shall be as follows:
- Handling all Account Payables (AP), Account Receivables (AR).
- Performing Statement of Account Reconciliation of Overseas Agents.
- Verifying TT Remittances.
- Updating monthly GIRO payment entries and issuing cheques accordingly.
- Preparing unbilled reports for Operations & Warehouse billing.
- Updating Exchange rates in currency tables.
- Checking and preparing staff claims.
- Assisting in Billing and Cheque payment entries in the event of the person-in-charge being on leave.
- Assisting in Month-end closing.
- Handling shipping inquiries from customers and being responsible for shipment booking.
- Preparing the full spectrum of shipping documents.
- Coordinating with agents and shippers on shipment arrangements.
- Monitoring shipments and ensuring orders are shipped according to shipping requirements.
- Arranging transportation for local cargo delivery and liaising with the warehouse for the packing, stuffing, or unstuffing of cargoes.
- Performing any ad hoc duties as and when assigned.
