Job Description
- Perform production and process quality improvement; implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods for new or existing products and technologies. It includes design/modify of manufacturing process systems and new equipment evaluation.
- Perform quality, safety, and efficiency improvements for all manufacturing operations and compliance with the respective safety requirements.
- Work closely with a team of engineers, equipment maintenance technicians, and other technical staff to ensure all production equipment is operating efficiently.
- Design new cable and maintain existing cable designs using Cable Builder.
- Assist in QEOHS pre-audit and audit.
- Assist in reviewing customer specifications for cable compliance.
- Provide external technical support which involves calculating current carrying capacities according to the latest national/international/company standards, performing site visits to respond to customer/sales feedback, participating in local and overseas exhibitions, technical sales activities, and seminars.
- Prepare and perform technical presentations if required, and participate in other matters such as queries, data sheet generation, catalog updating, and verification.
- Provide technical support which involves analyzing machine and equipment performance including the functioning of PLC and power drives, making improvements to increase machine and equipment uptime, performing root cause analysis to resolve machine and equipment issues when they arise, and carrying out necessary repair works, performing root cause analysis to resolve product failure during or after production, providing technical advice/guidance to the QC team and production team, and resolving product/technical issues to meet customers’ needs.
