Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Planner to join our team at VF SINGAPORE OVERSEAS SERVICES PTE. LTD. As a Strategic Planner – Global Material Sourcing, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s global material sourcing strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for sourcing and procurement of materials on a global scale.
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and establish partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, assess supplier capabilities, and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor global economic and political factors that may impact material sourcing, develop contingency plans, and ensure supply chain resilience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of global markets, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
