Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Director of Software Engineering to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As the Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers to develop and deliver high-quality software solutions. Key responsibilities:
- Manage the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to drive innovation and ensure code quality
- Implement best practices and standards for software development processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software engineering
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
