Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently perform radiological examinations and produce images of diagnostic quality for radiological reports with due regard to patient safety, clinical responsibility, radiation protection, and effective use of technology
- Ensure the correct patient and area of interest is being imaged accordingly
- Ensure examinations performed are of diagnostic value with correct patient identification before discharging the patient
- Provide care for patients undergoing examinations according to the conditions and nature of their illness and clinical diagnosis
- Select and execute proper radiographic techniques for individual patients accordingly to their clinical needs within established professional and departmental guidelines
- Responsible for ensuring readiness, proper functioning, and maintenance of the radiological equipment and accessories within the designated work area, as well as the cleanliness and tidiness of the procedure/examination room daily
- Perform in accordance with the standards described in SOP and work instructions and comply with the relevant rules and regulations
- Collate data to be presented in the monthly reports
- Support hospital staff in providing comprehensive patient service
- Other ad hoc duties assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Diagnostic Imaging, Diagnostic Radiography, or relevant field
- Candidates with experience in CT/MRI/Mammography/Ultrasound will be an advantage
- Must be registered with the National Environmental Agency (NEA) as a radiation worker
- Must be registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
- More than 3 years of experience is preferred
