Job Description
A Chemical Technician is responsible for conducting laboratory tests and experiments to support chemical production processes. They work closely with chemists and engineers to develop new products, improve existing processes, and ensure the safety and quality of chemical products.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and instruments for testing.
- Conduct chemical experiments following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Analyze and interpret results, and prepare reports summarizing findings.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and results.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and results.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
