Job Description
- Manage and oversee daily kitchen operations.
- To monitor stock movement.
- Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the specific section of the kitchen.
- To be flexible and willing to help other sections at busy times if required.
- To work with the Sous Chef to ensure mise en place is completed.
- Responsible for food and menu planning, food costing and quality control.
- Upkeep of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standard.
- Remove any hazards and ensure safety in the kitchen, as well as check for any defects in the kitchen and equipment.
- To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
- To comply with all Goodwood policies and procedures and ensure that all statutory regulations are observed.
- Ensure compliance with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
