Job Description
A Crewing Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the recruitment and deployment of crew members for a ship or maritime company. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the maritime industry.
The main tasks of a Crewing Officer include sourcing and selecting qualified crew members, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies, managing crew rotations and schedules, arranging travel and accommodations, and maintaining crew records and documentation.
To succeed in this role, a Crewing Officer must have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with crew members and external stakeholders.
