Job Description

The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of MSSQL databases that support AI and ML applications at National Healthcare Group. This role is crucial for ensuring data availability, integrity, and security, while also supporting the data needs of data scientists and engineers. The DBA will also assist the Group Chief Data Officer (GCDO) for Data Analytics.

Database Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain MSSQL databases for AI/ML applications.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of database systems.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks like indexing, backup, and recovery.

Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting:

  • Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related problems.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain database security measures and data privacy regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies.

Data Integration and ETL:

  • Support ETL operations and data integration processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers for seamless data flow.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to meet their data requirements.
  • Provide technical support for database-related issues.

Cloud Database Solutions:

  • Manage and optimize cloud-based MSSQL databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
  • Optimize cloud database resources for cost-effective operations.
