Job Description
A Diagnostic Technician is responsible for identifying and repairing faults in various mechanical and electronic systems of vehicles. They utilize specialized diagnostic equipment to conduct comprehensive testing and analysis, ensuring accurate identification of issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic tests and inspections on vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems.
- Using diagnostic equipment and software to interpret data, diagnose faults, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Performing repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines and industry standards.
- Collaborating with other technicians and mechanics to address complex problems and optimize repair processes.
- Maintaining detailed records of all tests, inspections, and repairs conducted.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or certification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
