Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking experienced and highly technically proficient individuals to join us as Duty Engineers. Joining as part of the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree’s pre-opening team, our Duty Engineers will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations and maintenance of the Resort’s facilities, including all technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- The Duty Engineer will conduct regular inspections of the Resort to determine maintenance requirements, upgrades, and improvements. They will report any incidents to the Assistant Chief Engineer.
- Resolve maintenance matters reported by guests or staff, coordinating with the Front Office and Housekeeping for efficient resolution.
- Ensure compliance with safe working practices and perform preventive maintenance activities as needed.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or equivalent professional certificate.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Able to work with contractors and commit to after-office hours duties or shift work.
