Job Description
Responsibilities:
- To assist main class teacher in managing challenging children using appropriate behavioral strategies.
- To assist in teaching appropriate mealtime behavior and supervise playtimes.
- To assist the main class teachers in toileting needs of the children (bringing the children to the toilet).
- Prepare age and developmentally appropriate teaching aids.
- Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, prepare art and craft materials, classroom arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment.
- Use positive discipline techniques at all times.
- Maintain and build relationships with children.
Requirements:
- Creative and inspiring with loving energy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about working with children with special needs.
- Certificate/Fundamental in Early Childhood Care & Education or Special Needs Education is an advantage.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
Schedule:
- Late shift
