Job Description
The team member is responsible for ensuring that all company-owned camera, audio, lighting, rigging, and grip equipment is in tip-top working condition at all times.
Candidates should have a thorough technical understanding of all major current camera and audio systems and their accessories.
Prior experience working for a production company, broadcaster, or educational establishment running an equipment ‘cage’ is a distinct advantage.
Candidate should hold a clean driving license.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Routine daily cleaning, maintenance, and repair of camera and audio systems.
- Preparation of equipment for shoot and receiving/checking equipment after a shoot.
- Liaison with equipment servicing and repair centers.
- Maintaining good relationships with Singapore equipment rental houses.
- Maintaining current research and technical information on commonly used camera systems.
- Providing advice and recommendations to Producers regarding suitable camera systems.
- On-set camera assistance and set-up of data-wrangling and video village systems.
- Lighting, shooting, and sound recording of simple interviews.
- Purchase of new cameras and sale of decommissioned cameras.
