Job Description
We are currently seeking an excellent Head Chef to join our team at Swan Food. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for developing and executing themed classic and innovative European menus. Our main focus is serving quality food, and we take pride in making all our products from scratch. Our menu includes brunch, business set lunches, ala carte, weekend grills, and seasonal dishes. You will oversee the kitchen operations and ensure its profitability.
If you can demonstrate exceptional skills, you may be given the opportunity to oversee kitchen operations in multiple outlets and work on our brand’s positioning with the team.
Responsibilities:
- Create an international breakfast buffet menu for our international guests
- Develop creative menus for dine-in, VIP club lounge, poolside, seasonal events, room service, and event functions
- Produce high-quality menu items within a given margin
- Interact positively with customers
- Efficiently manage manpower scheduling
- Collaborate closely with other departments
- Act as a role model to BOH (Back of House) personnel
Requirements:
- Knowledge of various cuisines (International, Italian, local, Peranakan) and culinary techniques, as well as familiarity with modern food trends
- Ability to create creative and trendy seasonal menus
- Culinary education from recognized institutions is preferred
- 5.5 work week availability
- Knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety practices and regulations (HACCP, H&S regulations)
- Prior experience in event catering
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with hotel management
- Capability to plan and execute strategies to achieve company objectives
