Job Description
Our client is an established financial institution in Securities and Trading. Reporting to the Regional Head of Compliance, the successful candidate will be in charge of the compliance assessment and management system in accordance with local regulatory and policy requirements. He / She will provide effective advice and protection to minimize and prevent operational and compliance risks for the company’s development strategy and business activities. Participating in major contract negotiations, drafting and reviewing documents will also be in scope. The successful candidate will also be responsible for day-to-day management of the team.
Required Experience / Competencies:
- Bachelor or Masters from a top-tier tertiary institution.
- More than 12 years of relevant experience in compliance, of which at least 3 years comprise leadership experience, at financial institutions or related companies.
- Familiar with Singapore’s monetary policies and regulations, including the regulatory environment, tax, foreign exchange controls, etc.
- Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to be ‘hands-on’; comfortable in boutique environments where scope is broader.
