Job Description
A Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. The main duties include washing and peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients, cleaning utensils, and assisting in basic food preparation tasks.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Prior experience in a kitchen setting would be advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff.
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits.
- Portion and store ingredients properly.
- Ensure the working area is clean and sanitized.
- Restock food supplies and storage areas as needed.
Requirements:
