Job Description
A Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to pharmacists in various healthcare settings. They are responsible for performing tasks related to medication dispensing, inventory management, and customer service.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately measuring and packaging medications, preparing prescriptions, and maintaining patient records. You will also assist in managing inventory by organizing medications, checking expiry dates, and restocking shelves.
Furthermore, you will interact with customers, answering their questions regarding medications, dosage instructions, and potential side effects. Your strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be vital when explaining proper medication usage to patients.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medical terminology, and be familiar with pharmacy regulations and procedures. Proficiency in operating pharmacy software and handling confidential information is also essential.
