Job Description
Source for potential contractors and verify with relevant departments on purchasing requirements, mainly on contractor works relating to maintenance and upgrading of plant facilities.
Review job scope raised by Engineering department and analyze technical data and specifications needed.
Review suitability, source comparable quotes in all fields on available information.
Provide advice to company personnel on nature and function of parts equipment.
Work closely with contractor representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and issues arise related to parts equipment.
Effectively source and negotiate with vendors for best value, lead-time, and terms.
Monitor purchasing trend to avoid over purchase.
Raise Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order and follow up on the approval process and PO closure.
