Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and troubleshoot plant tissue culture protocols.
- Optimize CRISPR editing in plants for genetic manipulation.
- Execute DNA/RNA extraction and analysis for plant transcriptome studies.
- Conduct plant-pathogen interaction studies to unravel molecular mechanisms.
- Assist with plant growing in hydroponics systems to support experimental needs.
- Conduct plant phenotyping to analyze and characterize plant traits.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful execution of research projects.
- Follow protocols precisely and maintain detailed records of experimental procedures.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor/Master Degree in a relevant field with previous experience in a research laboratory, particularly in plant-related studies.
- Proficiency in plant molecular biology techniques and plant phenotyping.
- Experience in optimizing and troubleshooting tissue culture protocols for various plant species (added advantage).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
