Job Description
A Sales Engineer is responsible for selling complex technical products and services to potential customers. They possess a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the products they are selling and have the ability to explain these technical details to customers in a clear and concise manner. In addition to sales skills, Sales Engineers also have strong interpersonal and communication skills as they work closely with both customers and the internal technical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential customers and proactively reach out to them
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to highlight product features and benefits
- Collaborate with the internal technical team to address customer concerns or issues
- Negotiate and close sales deals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in a technical industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Self-motivated and target-driven
