Job Description
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day facilities and maintenance operations of building infrastructure.
- Facilitate and ensure contractors/vendors complete repair and maintenance work to required timelines and standards, including capital improvement projects that contribute to the Institute’s mission.
- Attend to feedback from staff, tenants, and the general public.
- Assist in project management during the design, tender, construction, and post-construction stages.
- Conduct technical review of consultant’s proposals to ensure optimal design within budget and SIM’s goals.
- Coordinate, supervise, and assist in major renovations, additions, alterations, and capital replacement works.
- Track construction progress, anticipate critical issues, and coordinate work with other departments.
- Source quotations from contractors, obtain approval, and supervise work as assigned.
