Overall Purpose of Job:
The Purchasing Executive is responsible for the purchases allocated to him/her and to ensure it is adhered to the company purchase guidelines and policies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Source for materials globally
- Negotiation for the most competitive price
- Negotiate for the most competitive term and conditions
- Monitoring the delivery of the purchased equipment or items
- Ensure the equipment or items purchased meet the specification given.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in relevant Engineering
- Knowledge on local and overseas sources for materials and equipments.
- Knowledge on markets pricing for material and equipment.
- Effective negotiation skills
- Knowledge on the use of commercial documents used in purchasing (L.C., BG’s, Etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP for generating of Purchase Order
