Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and Lead SRC fire-fighting crew during fire & other emergencies, including oil spill control/clean up operations in the capacity of Fire/Spill Control-Ground Commander and be responsible for fire-fighting/emergency response strategy and tactics; including co-ordination with government agencies such as SCDF, MPA, SPF, etc.
• Supervise and maintain refinery’s fire services capability, including fire appliances/full-time fire-fighters in a high state of preparedness for emergencies
• Co-ordinate and conduct training and emergency drills for Emergency Responders, auxiliary fire-fighters and other SRC employees in various aspects of fire-fighting/prevention and emergency response/evacuation
• Supervise and enforce Refinery physical security measures and co-ordinate with SPF/MPA/PCG on various aspect of Security threat

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering, preferably with a Fire-fighting Engineering or Emergency Management Certification
• At least 3 years’ (for Degree holder) or 5 years’ (for Diploma holder) relevant Supervisory roles in local fire brigade and/or petrochemical plant involved in Fire-fighting operations
