Job Description
A Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is a role that focuses on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of a company’s software systems and infrastructure. SREs are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the tools and processes necessary to monitor and manage these systems.
Key responsibilities of a Site Reliability Engineer include:
- Collaborating with developers and other cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of software systems.
- Implementing and improving monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
- Automating manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
- Performing system analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Planning and executing capacity and performance management efforts.
- Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
