Job Description
A Store Keeper is responsible for managing and organizing inventory in a store or warehouse. They are in charge of ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and products are easily accessible when needed. The main duties of a Store Keeper include receiving incoming shipments, inspecting and verifying the contents, and entering them into the database.
Store Keepers also play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the storage areas. They are responsible for performing regular stock checks, identifying potential issues such as damaged or expired items, and taking appropriate actions.
Furthermore, Store Keepers collaborate with other team members to coordinate stock movements, fill out requisition forms, and assist with the preparation of orders. They help in providing accurate stock reports, tracking inventory movement, and following proper documentation processes.
To excel in this role, candidates should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team. Proficiency in using inventory management software and a good understanding of safety regulations related to storage and handling are also essential.
