Job Description
A UNIX Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Unix-based operating systems, servers, and networks. They are in charge of ensuring system availability, security, and performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading Unix systems and software.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Implementing and maintaining system security measures.
- Managing user accounts and access permissions.
- Performing regular system backups and recovery.
- Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve system-wide problems.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of Unix-based operating systems, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
